Customer Service, Shipping, & Return Policies - Updated May 9, 2008

Shipping Policy

Delivery of goods will be handled by USPS package services or UPS delivery in most instances. Worldgoods, LLC (d.b.a. A Better Footprint) reserves the right to ship your package by the most appropriate carrier for the type, size, and destination of each order.  Please click here to read about our green shipping and packaging policies. Orders placed at a Fair Trade Fiesta or other ordering fundraiser will be delivered to the host or hosting organization for you to pick up, unless otherwise indicated at time of order.

Placing / Tracking Status of Orders
At A Better Footprint, we take pride in the fact that our business supports poor artisans all over the world.  Keeping this in mind, we ask our customers to understand that occasionally certain products may become temporarily unavailable due to political, social, supply chain, or environmental conditions in the countries of origin. We will contact you via email or phone if an item becomes backordered or is no longer available.

If you placed your order online, the status of your order will be sent to you via e-mail updates. All in stock items will ship between 1-3 business days of receipt of order, for online purchases not associated with a fundraiser or fair trade fiesta. Items that are not in stock but readily available through a partner organization or company will usually ship within 5-7 business days.

If you placed your order through an Ambassador at a Fair Trade Fiesta or fundraiser, you can call your Ambassador to find out order details.  Orders placed at Fair Trade Fiestas or catalog fundraiser generally arrive within two weeks of the sale closing date.  If you have any other questions, you can contact our customer service line at 920-569-6332.

 All items in our online store that are marked with Free Shipping will not incur shipping charges. Shipping charges for items that do not qualify for free shipping are minimal and depend on the total value of the order, or size and weight of the itme. This ensures that we are able to provide tracking information, insurance, and top notch delivery of your item.

If an item would become damaged in shipping, please notify us.  A Better Footprint will replace broken, damaged or defective items where appropriate or help you file a claim with the carrier.

Customer Satisfaction Guarantee & Return/Exchange Policy (Fair Trade Fiesta Orders Only)

At A Better Footprint, customer satisfaction is a high priority. For items purchased in conjunction with a Fair Trade Fiesta, items exchanged within 30 days will be given full store credit value. Food items, worn or washed apparel, and clearance items are non-refundable and may also not be eligible for exchange.

Because the guarantee is offered by A Better Footprint, replacements or refunds must be handled through the company and not through an Ambassador or festival coordinator. Shipping charges are not refundable and a restocking fee may apply.

Customer Satisfaction Guarantee & Return/Exchange Policy (Fundraisers)

If you have purchased an item through A Better Footprint Fundraiser and are not satisfied, please initiate an exchange or refund within 7 days of the fundraiser. After 7 days, the proceeds are confirmed with and donated to the hosting school or organization and we cannot accept returns, refunds, or exchanges. Thank you for understanding and for allowing us to give back to schools and organizations!

Customer Satisfaction Guarantee & Return/Echange Policy (Web Orders)

Our Return Policy for online orders that are not associated with a Fair Trade Fiesta is as follows:  Cash refunds (100%) will be allowed within two weeks of shipment, in the event that our website has misrepresented a product, or that A Better Footprint has shipped an incorrect product or products.  Please call to initiate a refund.  Product(s) must be returned (in same condition as shipped out) to Worldgoods, LLC before a refund will be issued.  Please call us if you have other questions.

 If you are not satisfied with your order for any other reason, an exchange may be made up to 30 days from date of order by following the exchange directions on the back of receipt (also listed below).  You may exchange the product for any other product of equal value or receive A Better Footprint gift certificate. Customer will not be reimbursed in full or in part for shipping and handling charges.

To make an exchange:
You must call first to initiate a refund, return, or exchange.
Please include your original Receipt.  Include any handling charges as per the appropriate policy.  Make a copy of documents for you to keep and we recommend insuring and tracking your package, if shipped.  Drop off item at or mail to:
