What is a Fair Trade Fiesta?

A Fair Trade Fiesta is celebration of hope. One of our Ambassadors (or you, yourself!) helps get together a group of people who learn about Fair Trade and how to help fight poverty and be more eco-friendly.

A Fair Trade Fiesta is different from other "home parties" because it's all about the global experience - it could be a night focused on ways to empower women in Africa or a journey through creative ways to recycle. It can also just be a shopping experience with a meaningful purpose! Either way, the host/hostess and guests receive promotions and discounts not available to our regular website customers. And, it doesn't have to be at home - it can be at church, work, or through "email." It's the new kind of "home party," and one that makes a difference.

I want to host a Fair Trade Fiesta - How do I get started?
1) Contact us to find out if there is an Ambassador in your state who can help you host your Fair Trade Fiesta. If there's not one in your area, you can still host one! Order your Fiesta Kit about 4 weeks in advance in our online store - and we'll do the work. It includes catalogs, fair trade product samples, brochures and artisan information. Or if you are unable to purchase a sample kit, simply download the catalog, brochures, and read all about our artisans to prepare. Make sure that we know about your Fiesta so that we can help answer questions and let you know about monthly promotions and how to redeem credits or promotions for fiesta hosts.

2) Invite your friends (two weeks in advance is great) and host a fiesta. Your Ambassador will help send invites for you, or you can purchase them for a few cents each in our online store. Consider serving Fair Trade foods or ethnic dishes to spice things up.

3) After you've collected orders for our fair trade and green gifts, you can just place one order in our online store. If you had an Ambassador helping you, he or she will do this for you! If you hosted the fiesta yourself, make sure to contact us ahead of time for a special promotion code.
